Week 8 The Future

This week we are going to talk about SEO certifications and if they are worth it or not. To remind you SEO is basically the practice of increasing traffic to a website through the purest search results. Successful businesses nowadays have very good control over their search engine optimization skills and knowledge, and the big-name business' out there that got their reputation from something besides SEO is still gaining even more when they figured out how to do it correctly. The thing is, how do they learn it? Well, they need someone who specializes in SEO to hire to teach them or do it for them. And I can't find any exact numbers but I bet that whoever is in charge of SEO at a place like Amazon is getting paid a pretty penny someone please tell me if I am wrong there. Also, if you can get an SEO certification and start to work for a small business, who says you can't work for multiple? From reading classmates' posts this week it sounds like it is well worth the work you put in, and it doesn't even sound like it takes a long time to get! I think it is worth it if you see yourself working in that type of space, and I also think it could be worth it if you plan on doing something totally different. SEO certification is something that you can always use as either a job or a look on your resume to possibly get a job. It sounds great, looks cool, and has potential I think that is three positive traits that shouldn't be passed by.
