Week 6 Post 2: AI Blog

AI is something that is relatively new in the history of the world, it may seem like it has been around for a while but the fact is that technology is improving tremendously fast. The thing about the first iPhone compared to the 5th iPhone compared to today's iPhone. Or even the internet only 10 years ago, or factories using machinery instead of humans. At a rapid pace AI seems to be on track to take over so how do we stop it? I believe that the only way to stop it is to regulate it. AI has its perks, it can make our lives easier and arguably safer, look at Telsa and their super AI cars. Having the lowest accident reports among any vehicles. But then you look at large factory companies who are switching to robotics, the positives are that production is faster, the negatives are that we are losing resources faster and pushing workers out of jobs. I think AI should be used for our safety and intelligence, not our jobs. I don't want to live in a world where a robot is my bartender or barista. Imagine how weird that reality will actually be, we see it in movies and sadly that's why I think people believe it will be normal. I am already missing that social interaction amongst people and putting smiles on people's faces. The more AI gets involved the less genuine relationships amongst citizens will be current.
